De Belin and co-accused Callan Sinclair, who was allegedly
with the star forward on the night of the alleged sexual assault of a 19-year
old woman, both entered not guilty pleas to the court from the December 9
charges.
The matter has been adjourned to April 19.
A request made by de Belin to have the reporting conditions
of his bail varied was approved by the court, allowing the 27-year old to
continue ravelling interstate for NRL games as the season approaches.
The Dragons are expected to release a statement regarding de
Belin’s court appearance shortly.
The Cootamundra is regarded as one of the games top locks,
having played all three games of the 2018 NSW series win.
He has played the entirety of his 154-game career at the
Dragons and is contracted until the end of 2020.
